Once she was done playing the role of a taxi driver, Ilana 3 and I travelled to Zhemach to do the annual swim across the Kineret (aka Sea of Galilee).

We woke up around 7:30am and took our time eating breakfast (or what I call breakfast, Ilana claims fruits and seeds do not a breakfast make). By the time we finished disassembling the tent and went to swim it was about 8:30am. The swim was fun and in my opinion too short. We did stop twice. Once to board a cruise ship and check it out (and I got to jump out of the lower deck into the water). A second time on a small raft a few hundred meters from the end point.
After we were done swiming, we met up with Ilana 2. The following pictures document the emotional reunion betwen Ilana 3 and Ilana 2.

After the swim we went to tour Nachal Hazachi. Hazachi is one of the rivers that flows into the kineret. I was surprised at how much water the river holds at the end of the dry summer season. We crossed three spots where the water reached above our heads and we had to swim. The route is about 5km long, and it took us around 4 or 5 hours to complete the hike. Walking in the water is slow...
