Having cycled from Sde Boker to Nachal Efran, I wanted to returned there on foot. It did not take much convincing (just a bit of convincing Ilana..) and this weekend Ilana, Kobi, Racheli and I went back. We left the car at the heavy industrial complex in Oron and hiked the peaks of Mount Carbolet along Shvil Israel. We slept a couple of km before Efran and decended it on the second day. We returned to Oron by following a red marked trail in Tzin. The total distance covered is just under 30km.

This trip was especially picturesque (and fun!) and Ilana and I took plenty of pictures.

We went to sleep early around 7pm and Kobi snored all night long. And yet sleeping in the tent was very pleasant with the wind howling outside and shaking the tent, while we were warm and comfortable on the inside. We woke up early the next day, had tea, packed the gear and began hiking again.
