| I went to Horseshoe Valley with the intention of doing their entire selection of expert level trails in one day. An ambitious goal considering this would be my second time cross country skiing, the first after a two years hiatus. But I figured that what I lack in technique I make up for in pure brute strength and unadulterated stamina. |
| I planned for a total of 27km, but when I arrived I found that Horseshoe has three trails adding up to 32km. That meant less time than I budgeted. I made up for that by taking few pictures, and resting only twice - a 2min break at the end of the first trail for a drink of water and an 8min break at the end of the second trail to eat half the lunch I packed. It still took me the whole day - 10:30am to 4:45pm. |
