This Sat we hiked a 12km loop in the Har Mairon area. Starting from Beit Sefer Sade Har Mairon, we followed Svil Israel up the mountain. After a brief visit to the remains of Hamama and the lovely water spring in the middle of the old forsaken town we continued on a blue marked trail westward. We searched for Hutat Jarmak (Israel deepest natural hole) along the way, but could not find it. You would think a 150m hole in the ground would be easy to spot.. We walked back to the cars along Nachal Naria.
Before returning home we stopped at the nearby Druze town of Hurfeish to eat pitas with vegetables and olives. It was very tasty.
